Robin Roberts Begins Medical Leave, Mother Dies Aug 31st 2012, 16:24 It’s a rough week for “Good Morning America” anchor Robin Roberts, who traveled home to Mississippi just in time to say a final goodbye to her mother, Lucimarian Tolliver Roberts. She was 88. Robin was already set to depart on medical leave at the end of the week, but left a day early to see her mom. “GMA” co-anchor George Stephanopoulos told the audience on Friday, “She made it home just in time."
