Salma Hayek & Family: Deauville Film Festival Sep 10th 2012, 16:24 Frida star Salma Hayek posed for pics with husband François-Henri Pinault and their daughter Valentina, nearly 5, to inaugurate her cabin on board during the Deauville American Film Festival in France on Saturday (September 8). Later that evening, the family-of-three were seen dressed in their best as they attended the closing ceremonies of the film festival. Salma was honored with a tribute to her career at the event. Accepting her award, she spoke of her childhood dreams of acting and finding inspiration in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. “I realized in cinema you could have a river made out of chocolate, chew gum and then burp yourself back down to earth, take flowers made out of candy and eat them,” Salma said. “I was always a bit sad, being raised Catholic, at the idea that we only got to live one life, so acting was my way of cheating this concept. As an actress, I can live many lives and I’ve been many different people. . . . Now I believe in reincarnation so I’m not as anxious.” Valentina is Salma’s only child, while François-Henri is also dad to son François and daughter Mathilde, from his previous marriage to first wife Dorothée Lepère.
